The Reading Room

The books I recommend, I take seriously. Each one has earned its place on this shelf through my own reading, my own healing, and the conversations I have had with women doing the slow, sacred work of reclaiming themselves.

This is not an exhaustive list of all the good books on trauma and healing. It is a personal one. These are the books I return to, recommend in sessions, and trust with the stories of the women I walk alongside. Browse by what is calling you right now. You don't have to read in any particular order. You don't have to read them all. Let your curiosity lead.

A note on purchasing: When possible, I link to Bookshop.org, an online bookstore that directly supports independent bookstores across the country. When you purchase through Bookshop.org, a portion of every sale goes to a network of local independent booksellers, so your purchase supports more than one good thing at once. Bookshop.org links are affiliate links, which means I earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Any commission earned goes directly back into the work of Reclaiming HER Resilience.
